In Laos everything resembles a village, one of those found in all countryside areas of the world, even the pace of life here is more serene, less frenetic. Peddlers aren’t pedantic, mutilated beggars don’t show off their disabilities to get paid by downtown farangs, transvestites are very well behaved in sending you to hell when they realize you’ll never buy them drinks… “And the drivers of tuk-tuk?”. Well those are exactly like in other places: “Halo mi fliend want marijuana, lady boom boom, good plice mi fliend”. There is only one really bad thing about Laos: the roads.
